Overall

Company Creations (CREATE) is a clothing company that I started in October 2017. It was an automotive themed clothing brand centered around my Taylor.Creations brand. I used a lot of my photograph work in most of the designs I produced. I designed, marketed, and handled operations myself before eventually closing the business for personal reasons in July 2019.

Designs

I created a handful of different drops throughout the years of operation. Some theme examples were “Car Spotter”, Ferrari, digital warp, film, “Don’t Touch”, and more. Each design was started from scratch and reviewed by peers prior to launch.

Marketing

The growth of the company started off teasing launches through my main brand, Taylor.Creations, as the following was extremely engaging and growing at a very strong rate. Along with that, I used my network in the automotive influencer niche and sent out some free pieces in return for shoutouts and page/story postings. All of these simple tactics allowed for a quick and supportive follower generation. Never tapped into paid advertising as the goal was to maintain as low overhead as possible.

Operations

The business was ran though Shopify. Both order fulfilment and website were based on their platform as it made for the smoothest process without needing to develop a full site specifically for the business. Clothing was made on a Print on Demand method as it helped lower up front costs for me. Order fulfillment and printing was all done automatically which allowed for me to let it run on its own 90% of the time. I handled all order issues personally and dealt with misprints, returns, and more.
